The Moser Medical Graz99ers remains hot in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League with a 4-1 road win at EC-KAC, winning the fifth game straight. While an outstanding powerplay unit gave the spusu Vienna Capitals their tenth home win, league top scorer Guillaume Leclerc secured HK SZ Olimpija a road win in Villach with a brace. In the duel of the two weakest teams, the Dornbirn Bulldogs won in a thrilling finish after overtime.

The Moser Medical Graz99ers prolonged their top form also against the reigning champion EC-KAC. The 4:1 road win was already their fifth victory in a row, the seventh within the last ten games. Simon Hjalmarsson (15./SH1) put the ninth-ranked Styrians in front after a successful one-on-one against Sebastian Dahm. Graz, which got another huge performance of new goalie Christian Engstrand (97%) responded to the Rok Ticar equalizer (30.) on a double PP with three goals, as Grafenthin (30.) scored one-on-one, Altmann (59.) after a three-on-one and Ograjensek (60.) with an empty netter to secure the win.

Vienna with outstanding performance on powerplay
The spusu Vienna Capitals immediately corrected their slip-up from Friday, as the 1:2 against Villach was the first home defeat after eight wins in a row before, and beat HCB Südtirol Alperia 5:3. The "Caps" moved up to third place with their tenth home win overall. Outstanding was their perfection on power play, as they score four of seven PP goals. James Sheppard hat a brace and scored in the sixth consecutive game (5G|4A). With three goals in the second half of the middle period, the two-time champions laid the foundation for their second win of the season over Bolzano.


Leclerc’s brace gives Ljubljana road win

HK SZ Olimpija put an end to its losing streak and celebrated a 4:3 road win at EC GRAND Immo VSV after three defeats in a row. Ljubljana also won the second duel of the season with the "Adler" and remains first chaser of Salzburg. The Slovenians laid the foundation for the victory with three quick goals in the opening period, the success was refined with his second goal of the evening by league top scorer Guillaume Leclerc, who now has 35 points (13G|22A). VSV came back thanks to two Hughes goals, but HKO back-up Paavo Holsa did not allow the turnaround with 38 saves.

Dornbirn wins duel of bottom-placed teams | Hancock shows 5-point game
The Dornbirn Bulldogs won the duel of the two currently weakest ICE teams against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz with 5:4 after overtime, as the Upper Austrians thus conceded their seventh defeat in a row, while the Vorarlberg side put an end to their five-game losing streak. After an even opening frame in which Linz twice made up a deficit, the home team took a 3-2 lead with a dominant middle period. This lead and another by Colin Smith (52.) were again tied by the guests. The equalizer to 4:4 by Kevin Hancock was made in the very last second and confirmed only after video review. A followed offside challenge by Linz was also rejected after video review, with the game going into overtime, where Marcel Zitz netted the game-winner. Hancock was involved in all the Bulldogs' goals with two goals and three assists.
