After a thrilling Game 1 win for Jesenice, the Eisbären responded with a statement 4-0 shutout victory on the road in Slovenia. With the series tied, the Austrian side will look to build on that momentum in front of their home crowd on Thursday night.

Nicklas Huard, who netted a pair on Tuesday, and goaltender Max Zimmermann, who recorded his second playoff shutout, caused major problems for Jesenice. If the Slovenian team wants to reclaim the series lead, they’ll need to be much more clinical in front of goal.

The Eisbären, on the other hand, were far more efficient in Game 2 — something that cost them dearly in the series opener. Jesenice’s loss on Tuesday ended a six-game playoff win streak.

One key storyline: Olli Valtola, Jesenice’s leading scorer in the postseason, is still looking for his first point of the Finals.
