AHL teams head into final preseason preparations

In less than ten days the Alps Hockey League will start its seventh season. All 15 teams of the multinational league are already in the final preparation for the season. Up to and including Sunday, twelve more test games are scheduled. In the past few days, some teams were also in action. Jesenice, for example, beat Asiago in the final rematch. There is also still a lot going on in the transfer market.

In the final rematch between HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, the Slovenians at least managed a small revenge. 12 test games in the coming days

Runner-up Jesenice tests with Steinbach Steel Wings Linz and EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel against two Austrian league rivals. The Steel Wings and Kitzbühel are also facing each other in a direct duel. Another internal AHL clash will be between the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers and the Rittner Buam. League newcomer Unterland will also face ECH Klostersee.

The EC-KAC Future Team heads to Germany to challenge EV Füssen and EC Peiting. After the defeat against Deggendorfer SC, EK Die Zeller Eisbären would like to get back on track. On Friday they will meet the Eisbären Regensburg at home. In the other games in the coming days, EC Bregenzerwald will face Red Lions Reinach and Val Gardena will face EV Lindau Islanders.

Jesenice signs Finnish forward | Contract extensions in Cortina
With Niki Huovinen, Jesenice has signed a new forward. The 26-year-old has played mainly in his home country Finland so far. Cortina can continue to rely on three Italian defenders. The contracts with Alberto Colli, Enrico Larcher and René Vallazza were extended by one year each.
