Over the past few days, numerous Alps Hockey teams have announced transfers or contract extensions. In addition, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers have presented a new head coach in the person of Staffan Lundh.

Staffan Lundh is the new head coach of Hockey Unterland Cavaliers. For the 61-year-old it is the first engagement as head coach outside his home country Sweden. Additionally the South Tyroleans have signed a Latvian duo for the upcoming season, as Daniels Murniesk, who scored 13 goals and 19 assists past season for the Red Bull Eishockey Akademie, and Kristians Samitis move to the Cavaliers.

After one full win2day ICE Hockey League season at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey (1G|1A), Martin Castlunger heads back to the Alps Hockey League, signing at vize champion Hafro Cortina Hockey. The Italians also signed defender Nikita Ushnev. The 30-year-old last played in Hungary at DEAC.

The HC Meran/o Pircher signed his goalie duo. The two 21-year-old talents Rudy Rigoni and Matteo Calvi will be the goalie tandem of the South Tyroleans in the next season. Rigoni began his career in Asiago's youth before spending the last three campaigns with Pergine in the IHL and impressed every year with a save percentage of over 90%. The talented Matteo Calvi is again confirmed as backup. Additionally, Nick Rein is entering his third season with Merano. So far, the 27-year-old Italian-Canadian has played 75 AHL games (4G, 14A). Rein quickly became a leading player and is also active as a coach in the youth programme of the eagles.

The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel has signed Jannik Fröwis. The 24-year-old has already been on the ice for the Tyroleans in the past two seasons and demonstrated his skills in the season final. The forward previously played for EC Bregenzerwald and the EC-KAC Future Team in the Alps Hockey League.

David König is the first new signing for EC Bregenzerwald. The 24-year-old comes from EHC Lustenau, for whom he has played over 300 AHL games in the last eight seasons. König began his career as a forward, but has also played as a defenseman when needed in recent years.

Jakob Brandner will remain goalkeeper of HK RST Pellet Celje. The 23-year-old native of Austria will play his third season with the Slovenians. In addition Celje extended the contract with 26-year-old defender Nik Grahut.

25-year-old Ziga Urukalo stays at his hometown club SIJ Acroni Jesenice. The defender plays his whole career with the 2023 AHL champion so far, scoring 108 points in 298 Alps Hockey League games.
