Japanese international Riku Ishida, who is moving abroad for the first time in his career, will strengthen HC Meran/o Pircher's defense. The 24-year-old recorded 23 points in 32 games in the Asia League last season and was named Rookie of the Year. At the end of April, the defenseman was on the ice with his national team at the World Championships in Bolzano and impressed with his aggressive style of play. Additionally, 23-year-old Patrick Tomasini will play another season with Meran/o. The center was 115 times on the ice for the Eagles so far, scoring 68 points.

S.G. Cortina Hafro announced the signing of Mikael Saha. The Finn already played for the Blue-Whites two years ago, winning the Italian championship and finishing runner-up in the Alps Hockey League. Last season, the 29-year-old forward played for the Steel Wings LINZ AG and also made a few appearances for the Steinbach Black Wings Linz in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Former Belfast Giants forward Matt McLeod joined the EK Die Zeller Eisbären for the upcoming AHL season. He scored 12 goals and 13 assists past season in the EIHL.

HC Gherdeina valgardena.it took a new approach last year and put their trust in local goalies. This plan worked out perfectly, as Paul Hofer and Hannes Stoll performed brilliantly. Hofer will also be the goalie in the new season, while Bolzano native Matthias Rindone takes the place of Hannes Stoll.
