Aisulu celebrates shutout win over Sabres

In the European Women’s Hockey League, Aisulu Almaty recorded their seventh win in seven games on Friday evening. The Kazakh team earned a 4-0 road victory over the Sabres St. Pölten, with goaltender Rachel Seeley posting a shutout.

After three consecutive wins, the Sabres St. Pölten challenged unbeaten Almaty in a rematch of last season’s EWHL Final. The visitors quickly proved their strength: Annalisa Hayes opened the scoring in the seventh minute, and Mya Neugent doubled the lead before the first intermission. Goals from Anna Fairman (39’) and Katherina Birkby (60’) sealed the 4-0 final score. Rachel Seeley remained unbeaten throughout the entire game.
