Fehervar won goal-festival against Linz 8:4
Ouzas had to make the first save of the game then, Carruth saved Gaffal’s shot. The game started and went on high paced and exciting, and in the 8th minute David Gilbert put Luttinen’s pass in the net. After the goal, Altmann fouled but Fehervar didn’t score five on four. Hofer threatened full strength then DaSilva shot but Carruth saved. Koger got a penalty but the guests didn’t score on the Power Play, either. Koger and Erdely skated two-on-one to the net right after the end of the penalty but they missed the chance. On the other end, Philipp Lukas put a rebound in the net, and he tied the game. At the end of the period, Kirchschläger had to sit in the penalty box and Fehervar scored, Harty shot from the blue line in the net. Just 35 seconds after the goal, Luttinen threatened and Janos Hari put the rebound in the net. Linz started the second period better and 45 seconds into the period, they scored their second goal, Spannring found the puck open behind Carruth. Harty was close to scoring but Ouzas made a big save, then Fehervar played on the powerplay again, with success: Manavian’s blueliner hit a Linz player’s skate first, then Luttinen’s and finally it went into the net. Troy Ward put Florian Janny in the net after the goal but Fehervar dominated the game, Erdely missed a breakaway, then O’Brien fouled. The Hungarians played well this time as well but without scoring. Manavian cross-checked in front of the net so it was the guests to play five on four now but no goal was scored. The guests used the momentum well after playing full strength, they had chance after chance and finally Hofer scored in a breakaway. The end of the period became more physical, Koger missed another breakaway but Fehervar had the one goal lead before the third period. The thrid period went on balanced for the first minutes, until Lukas’ penalty. Schofield got into a breakaway position but Luttinen fouled, that is why Linz had a penalty shot, which they missed. Fehervar didn’t use the powerplay in the end but five on five they managed to score, Koger’s shot went from Janny to the net. Linz pushed hard after the goal, Carruth had to make big saves and after many chances, Lebler scored and the difference was only one goal. Not for long, though, Hári and Erdély played well two on one and Hari scored his second goal tonight. Coach Ward pulled his goalie but it didn’t help his team as Erdély scored another goal, and at the end, after another Linz penalty, Erdely put the puck in the net after Manavian’s shot for the final 8:4.

Salzburg defeated for the first time in December at Innsbruck
HC TWK Innsbruck "Die Haie" had a perfect start into the game and took the lead already after 23 seconds. EC Red Bull Salzburg stayed unimpressed and turned an equal game with two goals still in period 1: Rob Schremp finished a solo (11.) and Peter Hochkofler converted a pass from Alexander Cijan (15.). In period 2 the Mozart Citizens produced many chances, but goalie Patrik Nechvatal wasn‘t to beat. The Sharks on the other side scored from their chances and turned the game with goals from Andrew Clark and Fabio Schramm. The same picture in period 3: The Red Bulls made pressure, but all shots were stopped by Nechvatal first. On the other side Andrew Yogan decided the game, he finished a 2-on-1-attack for the 4:2 (49.). In the end Innsbruck won 4:3 and the Mozart Citizenes were defeated for the first time in December.

Foxes continued their good run at Dornbirn
HCB Südtirol Alperia took the leat at Dornbirn in minute 7, Michael Halmo scored. After the re-start the Bulldogs did more for the offense, but also Bozen stayed dangerous from counter-attacks. Finally in minute 38 Alexander Petan deflected a shot from Matt Tomassoni – 2:0. The Austrians had problems to break through the good HCB defense. But the Vorarlberger did not give up and were rewarded for their fighting spirit in the end: Scott Timmins (56.) and Dustin Sylvester (58.) with a bluelinier send the game into an Overtime, in which Angelo Micelli finished a solo from the halfway for Bozen’s win.

Medvescak ends bad run at Villach
EC VSV had the better start, Valentin Leiler scored the lead already in minute 3. The first period was fast and intense, but without many scoring-chances. After the re-start KHL Medvescak Zagreb had a great start: After a shot from Balej, Olden scored from the rebound. Just minutes later Mike Boivin returned from the penalty box and he turned the game after a big mistake of goalie Lukas Herzog – 2:1. The Austrians had a quick answer: Platzer deflected the puck after a shot from the blue line from Stebih - 2:2. The next minutes belong to the Bears: Koskiranta, who poked the puck in, and Rajsar gave Medvescak a 4:2-lead at Villach. The Eagles changed their goalie in period 3, but it did not help: David Kickert could not stop a slapshot from Balej (42.). Now the Croatians were not to stop anymore and they finally won 8:3. Zagreb celebrated their first win since November 26th or nine games.

KAC won at Graz
More then 30 minutes good chances stayed unused from both teams at Graz. Then Manuel Ganahl scored the lead for EC-KAC in a Power Play. The 99ers answered quickly: Florian Iberer was successful backhanded – 1:1. Klagenfurt did not need long to take the lead again: Marco Brucker surprised goalie Höneckl with a shot from a sharp angel. The Styrians made much pressure in period 3, but Daniel Woger and Company stayed unlucky. EC-KAC decided the game then in two Power Plays: First Thomas Koch scored the 3:1 5-on-3 and then he added the 4:1 in another Power Play from a rebound.

Caps won east-derby at Znojmo
The first period went better for the Caps. The very first serious chance was performed in the fourth minute, when Schneider bluffed the home goalie but missed the uncovered net. Vienna has had many more chances since then and it was worth it. In the fourteenth minute Rafael Rotter found a puck in front of Znojmo’s net after it was there a bit crowded and fount the right spot to shoot to.  The home team stepped to the second period with more energy than to the first, there were some chances. The biggest chance came in the eight minute, when puck squeezed under Lamoureux and aimed to the net, but suddenly Vienna’s defender came to the rescue and shot the puck away. The third period started better for Vienna, Nödl hit the post with his close distance shot. Ten minutes after Cuma did the same thing from the slot in front of Schwarz. Then Orli started playing more offensive and immediately got results: Marek Biro performed a great blue-liner and equaled the score. The game went to overtime, which did not last long. After only forty seconds Kelsey Tessier escaped and aimed after a break-away under Schwarz’s glove.
