After spending time with several college teams, Conley competed in the American Hockey League (AHL) — and not just anywhere. The Iowa Wild, where he played two seasons alongside Nick Swaney, serve as the farm team of the Minnesota Wild, while the Manitoba Moose are the development affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. Both organizations rank among the top addresses in the AHL. The Norfolk Admirals, to whom Conley had been loaned since November, are also part of this development network as an affiliate of the Jets and Moose.

Kevin Conley said: “At a certain point in my career, I really wanted to play in Europe. I already know quite a bit about the league from friends who have played here. I immediately spoke with Nick Swaney (my teammate with the Iowa Wild from 2022 to 2024), and everyone had only positive things to say about the team, the club and the city. Now I can hardly wait to get started and of course I hope that we can win as much as possible together.”

Sporting director Philipp Pinter added: “With Kevin, we were able to strengthen our team once again in an ideal way. With his speed, skating ability and physical presence, he fits perfectly into our squad and will give us the necessary depth for the playoffs. Especially his games in Manitoba showed how dangerous he can be in rush situations and how aggressive he is on the forecheck. He is hungry, has great character and wants one thing above all — to win. That makes him a perfect fit for Graz.”
