In summer 2013 Andrew Sarauer signed his first contract in Székesfehérvár. Before, the Canadian played in East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), American Hockey League (AHL) and had a one-year stint with Danish Frederikshavn White Hawks, too. After four seasons with Fehérvár, Sarauer, who also received a Hungarian passport and played four World Championships, transferred to Villach. The 33 year-old has gained 220 points (79 goals, 141 assists) in 258 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga games. "I've decided to rejoin the team because I feel like the team is ready to make the next step. Management and coach both talked to me and I liked what they had to tell me. I really liked how they said it's time to make the next step. Which is getting back to the playoffs and being a more consistent team. It was a little strange playing here the first game as an opponent. But once the first shift was over it was just another hockey game. The fans gave me a nice ovation and I really appreciated that. I hope they will be happy for me to come back, because I have always enjoyed playing here and in front of them.  My goals are very simple. Getting back into the playoffs and taking the next step. As you get older you realize how hard it is to get into the playoffs and compete. But as you can see from this year anything can happen once you get into the playoffs," says Sarauer. In addition, the club extended contracts with defenders Jonathan Harty (30/CAN) and Eric Meland (28/USA).
