Salinitri, who was considered by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round of the 2016 draft, moved to Asiago at the start of the 21-22 season. Prior to that, he was playing in Canada's junior leagues. For the Italians, Salinitri offered a strong debut season in the Alps Hockey League, coming to about one goal per game (eleven games) in the postseason. In the past ICE campaign, the center was Asiago's third-leading scorer.

"I chose Graz because it's a good opportunity for me to take the next step. From my point of view, I can reach another higher level at the 99ers," said Salinitri.
