Asiago, Cortina, Kitzbühel and Vienna announce new signings

With Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, Hafro Cortina Hockey, EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and the Vienna Capitals Silver, three teams in the Alps Hockey League have signed new players. The Future Team of the KAC also extended two contracts. Seven contract extensions were announced by the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it.

2-times Swedish champipn strengthens Vienna
Goalkeeper Stefan Stéen will play for the Vienna Capitals Silver in the coming season. The 28-years-old Swede won the SHL twice with Skellefteå AIK Hockey and Växjö Lakers.
Additionally the Viennese announced the signing of 20-years-old Alex Nilsson. The Swedish center last played with Gjøvik Hockey in Norway.



Johansson moves to Cortina
After one season with the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, Mikael Johansson moves to Hafro Cortina Hockey. The 26-years-old Swede scored 31 points (15G / 16A) in 20 appearances for the Tyroleans.



Two extensions for Klagenfurt
The forwards Fabian Hochegger (20) and Markus Pirmann (32) extended their contracts with the EC-KAC Future Team. Together they scored 121 points in the Alps Hockey League for the Carinthians so far.



Next young Latvian for KEC
EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel has signed 21-year-old Latvian Ricards Purins. Last season, the forward scored eleven goals and four assists for HK Prizma Riga. Purins previously gained experience in junior leagues in Sweden and Germany.



Asiago signs Anthony Salinitri
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey has strengthened its offense with Anthony Salinitri. The 23-year-old centre, who was drafted in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2016, comes to Europe for the first time. Among others, the Canadian played five years in the Ontario Hockey League and recorded 271 points (139G, 132A) in 346 games.



Seven contract extensions in Gherdeina
The Hockey Club Gardena will continue to rely on a core of young local players in the coming season. With the contract extensions of Leo Kostner, Paul Hofer, Julian Senoner, Alexander Vigl, Ben Linder, Nicholas Paratoni and Tobias Moroder, the basis for the future has been laid.
