Asiago equalizes series
After an exciting semi-final start a few days ago with the better end for Jesenice, Migross Supermercati Asiago managed to take revenge and equalize the series on Saturday. However, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice still had the better start. Although Asiago could create more chances, Andrej Hebar scored the opening goal in powerplay for the Slovenians. However, Asiago turned the match in the middle third, initiated by one from Alex Frei. Michele Marchetti gave the Yellow-Red their first lead less than three minutes later, before Frei closed the period the way he started it. With the score at 3-1, the final period began with Jesenice once again throwing everything forward. Gianluca Vallini proved his reactions and did not allow another goal. Marchetti finally ensured the decision with an emptynetter. Two Asiago cracks provided all four goals for the hosts. Thus, the series goes at least over four games. The duel for the first match puck will be played already on Tuesday in Jesenice.

Ljubljana captures match puck with shutout win
HK SZ Olpimpija Ljubljana pushes the door to the finals wide open with a clear win at EHC Lustenau. The regular season winner already leads 2-0 after the 8-0 shutout win against the last Austrian representative in the "best-of-five" series. Anze Ropret started like a pistol shot with a brace. Lustenau was only able to hold its own against the strong Ljubljana offense in phases. In the second period, the Slovenians really got rolling. Miha Logar, Ziga Pesut and Tadej Cimzar made it 5-0 with three goals in less than a minute, before Luka Vidmar completed a perfect third period with another goal. The decision was already made - Ljubljana finished the "show run" with two more goals from Martin Bohinc and Anze Ropret. The 31-year-old Slovenian thus made his hat trick perfect. Already on Tuesday the Slovenians have the chance to fix the final at Lustenau.
