Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey won also its fourth consecutive home game. In the "Derby Veneto" the vice-champion prevailed against S.G. Cortina Hafro with 3:2 - and thus also won the second derby of the season. It was already the seventh derby win for Petri Mattila's team in a row. Michele Marchetti (14.) had the perfect answer to the visitors' lead with his seventh goal of the season. Then the home team added two more goals and led 3:1 after 48 minutes, before the game had to be interrupted for five minutes due to an injury of the only 17-year-old Samuele Zampieri. After the resumption, the guests scored the next goal, but Gianluca Vallini did not allow the turnaround.

Ritten takes sixth win straight
The Rittner Buam extended their winning streak with a 5:2 home win over bottom placed Vienna Capitals Silver. The third-placed team has now a six-game winning streak available. The guests from Vienna had to admit defeat again after the 1:4 the night before in Gardena-Gröden. The South Tyroleans were dominant from the start - and were ahead 4:0 until the middle of the game. Simon Kostner (44./SH1) added another goal at the beginning of the final period, before the guests from Vienna scored two more goals to improve the result.

Kitzbühel und Zell am See underline their performance
EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and EK Die Zeller Eisbären have once again proven their currently strong form and continue to be part of the top third of the table with narrow victories: The Tyroleans celebrated their third win in a row with a 2:1 over Steel Wings Linz - with which Charles Franzen's team took revenge for the defeat in the first duel of the season - and picked up points for the sixth consecutive time. Paul Mocher showed a strong game against his former club (96.2%), Raivo Freidenfelds scored for the fourth time in a row.

Fifth-placed EK Die Zeller Eisbären confirmed their recent victory over leader Jesenice with a 2:1 win at EC Bregenzerwald, who suffered their first defeat in their third home game this year. In Vorarlberg, the decision was made in the final period: Hubert Berger (47.) put the guests in the lead and then gave the primary assist to Philipp Kreuzer's game-winner (59.).

Klagenfurt and Fassa back on winning ways
On Saturday, both the EC-KAC Future Team and the SHC Fassa Falcons returned to winning ways. The Austrians extended the losing streak from HC Meran/o Pircher with a 3:2 win at home - their first after three straight losses. The AHL newcomer lost for the fourth straight time, but managed to score again after 229 minutes and 14 seconds. The Carinthians, which finally benefited from a good middle frame, were successful also thanks to goalie Val Usnik. He stopped 45 shots on his goal and balanced with a save percentage of 95.7%.

After four defeats in a row, SHC Fassa Falcons also left the ice as winners again. The Italians prevailed 4:1 at Red Bull Hockey Juniors - and celebrated the first success in the seventh appearance in Salzburg. For the "Falcons", where Daniel Tedesco laced a brace and gave an assist, it was the first away win this season. The Red Bulls lost for the third time in a row.
