Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey prevailed in the Italian Supercup against the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers with 4:3/OT. Giordano Finoro scored the game-winner.

The visitors from Asiago took the lead in the Würth Arena in the eighth minute of the game through new signing Troy Rutkowski. No further goals were scored in the first period. In the middle period, Alps Hockey League representative Hockey Unterland Cavaliers initially equalized before Asiago took the lead again in the power play. This time another new signing, Randy Gazzola, was the goal scorer. But also this time the lead of the win2day ICE Hockey League representative did not last. Before the end of the second period Unterland managed to equalize again. As in the case of 1:1, Santeri Haarala scored in the power play. At the beginning of the final period Unterland could even take the lead. This lead lasted until six minutes before the end of the game, when Allan McShane scored in a shorthanded situation to make it 3:3 from Asiago's point of view. Since neither team was able to make a decision in the final minutes, the game went into overtime. In this Giordano Finoro scored the game-winner for Asiago after five minutes and thus secured the Italian Super Cup win for the ICE representative.
