Attractive opponents in the CHL-Group Stage

On Wednesday the draw for the upcoming Champions Hockey League season was held in Bratislava. The clubs of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, EC-KAC, spusu Vienna Capitals and Moser Medical Graz 99ers all got very attractive opponents.

The champion of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, the EC-KAC plays against Tappara Tampere (FIN), swiss semi-finalist EHC Biel-Bienne  and norwegian champion Frisk Asker. 

The Moser Medical Graz 99ers are in one group with defending champion Frölunda Indians (SWE). The other opponents of the Grazer are Mountfield HK (CZE) and Cardiff Devils (GBR).

The spusu Vienna Capitals are the third participant of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga in the CHL. The opponents of the capitals are german champion Adler Mannheim, swedish record champion Djurgården Stockholm and polish champion GKS Tychy.

The group stage of the CHL (round of six games) starts on 29 August and runs until 16 October 2019. The first and second placed team of the eight groups qualify for the playoffs, which start on November 12. The final will be played on the 4th of February in 2020.
