Austria and Hungary with victories in last game

The Austrian national team celebrated a 2:1 win after overtime against host Slovenia in the last match of the Four Nations Tournament in Jesenice. Thus, team Austria had to go into overtime in all three games. Twice the young team left the ice as winners. Hungary also won against Ukraine at the Euro ICE Hockey Challenge in Budapest. With two wins from two games, they finished the tournament in first place.

For host Slovenia, the four-nation tournament in Jesenice ended in a disappointment. None of the three games could be won by the country of bet-at-home ICE Hockey League leader, HK SZ Olimpija. Against Austria, they scored the first goal in game minute 27 after a scoreless starting period. Ken Ograjensek of the Moser Medical Graz99ers scored in the power play. But the answer of a young Austrian team came promptly. Only three and a half minutes later, 23-years-old Felix Maxa of the EC GRAND Immo VSV equalized. No further goals were scored in regular playing time. In the overtime it took only 43 seconds before Marco Kasper of Rögle from the Swedish SHL scored the game-winner to give Austria their second win.

Hungary also wins second game of home tournament
At the Euro ICE Hockey Challenge in Budapest, host Hungary also won their second game of the tournament. Against the Ukraine it was a close game. In the end, Hockey Hungary won with 2:1 thanks to two goals by Vilmos Gallo of Lulea from the Swedish SHL and was thus celebrated the tournament victory.
