In Tuesday’s lone game, which opens an intensive Alps Hockey League week including 18 games overall, an Austrian battle is scheduled, as the EC-KAC II welcomes the EC “Die Adler” Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. While the “eagles” fight for ending the losing streak after five consecutive losses, the young “Rotjacken” would like to extend their home winning streak after three wins on home ice in a row.

On Tuesday the EC-KAC II hosts EC “Die Adler” Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, both battling for a connection to the top-10 teams in standings. While the Carinthians, which lost two in a row before the international break, are placed 13th (16 points), the Tyrolese, which grabbed only one point in the past five games, are ranked 15th (12 points). The “eagles” won only once on the road, as they beat Linz on September 21st and lost the past three road-games. Klagenfurt established itself as a good home-team, after three consecutive victories on home ice, winning against both newcomer and former leader Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. The young “Rotjacken” only won the last meeting with Kitzbühel and lost all seven games prior that.
