Jan Mursak of the EC-KAC was automatically suspended for one game due to his second fight in the current win2day ICE Hockey League season. The 36-year-old forward will therefore miss Klagenfurt's home game against HK SZ Olimpija, tomorrow, Sunday.

According to the Arbitrator and after reviewing video evidence, player Jan Mursak (#9) of EC-KAC, time 59:26, engaged in a fight with an opponent deemed as Fighting - IIHF Rule 46.

Neither fight was it determined that the opposing player was the instigator. Jan Mursak was deemed a willing combatant, constituting his 2nd fighting major in the 2023/24 ICE Hockey League season on 16.02.2024.

Jan Mursak is suspended automatically for the ensuing ICE Hockey League game, according to the win2day ICE Hockey League Gamebook | I – Disciplinary Measures | IV. Substantive Law | § 2 Disciplinary Measures and Directives | (3) Automatic Suspensions | Fighting - Automatic Supplementary Discipline (DOPS) | which states:
“If a player is assessed a fighting major for the 2nd time during the ICE Hockey League regular season, such player is assessed an automatic one game suspension, in addition to any other penalties assessed.”
