Bulldogs end losing streak
Znojmo opened the game as the better team and had three goal chances in the opening minutes, but Yellow Horn missed open net twice and was denied by Rinne on his third attempt. Eventually it was Dornbirn who struck first, converting a 3-on-1 breakaway courtesy of Matt Fraser´s quick wristshot. McMonagle then got called for double minor penalty, but once again it was a quick breakaway by Bulldogs and a goal, this time by Jerome Leduc. The ineffective home side pulled one back shortly afterwards thanks to a powerplay deflection by Petr Mrazek. Home team equalized four minutes into the second period after a faceoff in the offensive zone which left Stepan Csamango all alone in front of the net and the tall forward converted his chance. Just when Znojmo looked poised to take control of the game, Dornbirn got two powerplays and quickly converted both of them to restore a two-goal lead. First, Jamie Arniel tapped home from the goal crease and shortly afterwards, Matt Fraser netted from the point. Znojmo pushed forward in the closing period, but could not break down a solid defense set up by the visitors. On the contrary, Matt Fraser netted his hat-trick goal with a shot from point-blank range and Scott Timmins made the score 6-2 with a deflection.
Black Wings celebrate shut out win
The VSV started with big ambitions and created some good chances in the first minutes. But also the Black Wings found rhythm a bit later. Brian Lebler had the best chance in the first period but his shot missed the goal. The hosts booked a perfect start into the second period. After only 37 seconds Corey Locke served the puck to Lebler who beated Lukas Herzog. Three minutes later Joel Broda scored for the 2:0. Linz kept on pushing, but Herzog proofed his reactions. At the end of the period the VSV tried to start a comeback, but Ouzas kept his hands clean. In the third period the Black Wings defended their lead. The VSV took to many penalties to come back. Linz celebrated a 2:0 shut-out win.
99ers book blow out win
The 99ers had the better start into the game and put a lot of pressure on Fehervar. But the Hungarians succeeded to capture the lead: Ferenc Kocsics scored for the 1:0 after a mistake of the 99ers defense. Evan Brohey tied the game in powerplay and the 99ers took full control over the game. The 99ers fired many shots and Brock Higgs captured the lead. In the second period Graz continued where they ended in the first. With four goals within nine minute they found the early decision. Markus Pirmann and Higgs scored the third and fourth goal, before Zintis- Nauris Zuevics converted a penalty shot. Jonathan Carlsson even increased to 6:1 in the second period. In the final period both teams took speed out of the game. Peter Vincze score the second goal for his team in shorthanded situation. But Zusevis recreated the five goals lead only one minute later.
Red Bulls celebrate win against Capitals
After three minutes Salzburg had to take a penalty but did a good job in penalty killing and Alexander Rauchenwald even had the big chance for the short hander. The first period ended with no goals, but Salzburg put a lot of pressure on Vienna. The guests had the better start in the second period. Jerry Pollastrone misse a chance but only moments later Niki Hartl scored with a bit of luck. Salzburg had the right answer only three minutes later. After 15 seconds of powerplay Rob Schremp served the puck to Julien Brouillette who scored the equalizer. Raphael Herburger captured the lead with a nice shot. Brant Harris even increased the lead to 3:1 with his 20th goal of the season. The final period started like the second ended. Brant Harris scored in powerplay. The Red Bulls kept on pressuring and Herburger increased to 5:1. Salzburg did a good job in defending the lead over the final 15 minutes and came back on the road of success.
Foxes keep on climbing the standings
It was a tough and intense game right rom the beginning. The guests opened the scoring in the first minute: Baley scored wide opening during a confusion in the foxes defense. Bozen had the perfect answer and Daniel Franz scored the equalizer only moments later. The Croations created good chances, but it was Angelidis who captured the lead for the hosts. But it didn’t take long till Boivin tied the game again. DeSousa succeeded with lead after a nice pass from Petan. In the second period Bozen missed a penalty shot. But Miceli scored the fourth goal for his time a bit later after a good combination. In the final minutes of the second period Zagreb narrowed the gap with a goal of Tyler Morley. The foxes reduces the speed of the game in the final period. Angelidis brought the early decision for Bozen in the 53rd minute. Egger created the final result of 6:3 four minutes before the end.
