Last week, the HCB Südtirol Alperia and the EC Red Bull Salzburg faced each other for the first time in this Champions Hockey League season. The reigning bet-at-home ICE Hockey League runners-up from South Tyrol retained the upper hand with a 5:3 win, which is why the decision on the group win was postponed to the sixth and final matchday. With both teams having twelve points, one thing is clear: whoever wins on Tuesday is the group winner and will therefore face a group runner-up in the round of 16. In the league, both teams have already faced each other once this season. The "Foxes" kept the upper hand with 3:0.

EC-KAC plays for perfect group stage
The EC-KAC has already secured a place in the CHL round of 16 for the first time. Last week, they prevailed at the HC Donbass Donetsk with 4:3. The return match with the Ukrainians, who are currently third in the group and two points behind second-placed Rouen, will take place on Wednesday. The KAC has not yet lost a CHL game this season. Apart from Klagenfurt, only Fribourg has also won all its games so far. The other 30 teams all already conceded at least one defeat. With only seven goals against, the KAC also has the best defense of all CHL teams together with IFK Helsinki.
