win2day ICE Hockey League | Schedule 06.12.2022:
06.12.2022 19:45 HCB Südtirol Alperia - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: OFNER, STERNAT, Durmis, Sternat >> PPV-Livestream

HCB Südtirol Alperia still missed the chance to jump back to the top of the table on Sunday. In the direct duel against table neighbor EC Red Bull Salzburg the Foxes had to accept a 1:3 defeat. The Caps even have two defeats to digest from the last eight days. First, the Viennese had to admit defeat against the Moser Medical Graz99ers in overtime. Then followed - after a week off - the defeat after 2:0 lead against EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV. After a well controlled first period and some top saves by Starkbaum, the Eagles could not be stopped. HCB Südtirol Alperia presents itself as a true home power this season. In ten home games, the South Tyroleans had to admit defeat only once - and that against the Caps. The spusu Vienna Capitals celebrated a 5:3 success in Bolzano in November. Vienna's top scorer Matt Bradley (15 goals and 14 assists) scored a brace in the process.

Referees: NIKOLIC K., SCHAUER, Pardatscher, Sparer | >> PPV-Livestream

EC Red Bull Salzburg recorded a perfect 6-point-weekend against the top duo last time after their four league defeats. Due to victories against leader Innsbruck and first chaser Bolzano, second place is again within immediate reach. For Salzburg, the duel against Bruneck is again the first of three games within a week. The Red Bulls won the only meeting with the Wolves so far this season 3-0 at home on September 30. Only recently, a new head coach was presented in Bruneck with the Finn Tomek Valtonen. The 42-year-old previously worked on the bench at HK Dukla Michalovce in the Slovakian top league. In his premiere with the Wolves last Friday, however, HC Pustertal had to leave Ljubljana (2:5) without any points. From the past seven games, the Wolves could win only a single one.
