Bolzano celebrates tournament win | Innsbruck records preseason away victory

HCB Südtirol Alperia won the 6th Hansjörg-Brunner-Memorial in Meran on Sunday with a 4-0 victory against the Starbulls Rosenheim. HC TIWAG Innsbruck also prevailed in their test match in Ravensburg.

After the previous day's win against hosts Meran, HCB Südtirol Alperia remained unbeaten in their second game without conceding a goal. The Bolzano team defeated Rosenheim 4-0 and finished the tournament level on points with Chur, but took first place thanks to a superior goal difference. Goals from Buono and Bradley gave HCB a 2-0 lead after the first period. Schneider scored in the middle frame, while Leslie sealed the final result in the 43rd minute.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck won their test match against the Ravensburg Towerstars 5-2. The Innsbruck side were more clinical in front of goal, more structured defensively and made effective use of counterattacks. Owre put the visitors ahead late in the first period. After the restart, Rappold and Richards struck in quick succession. Richards then extended the lead to 4-0. Although the hosts managed two goals, Owre secured the final score with an empty-netter.
