Bolzano extends lead at the top | Linz routs KAC

HCB Südtirol Alperia extended its lead atop the win2day ICE Hockey League standings on Sunday. Bolzano rallied from 2-0 down against FTC-Telekom and won 4-3 in a shootout. With EC-KAC falling 6-1 to the Steinbach Black Wings Linz and Milano Hockey Club losing in Salzburg, the South Tyroleans now lead the chasing pack by three points. Linz moved up to third place with the convincing win. The second South Tyrolean team also had reason to celebrate: HC Falkensteiner Pustertal completed a late comeback against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 for its fourth straight win. EC Red Bull Salzburg and the Vienna Capitals each picked up their second win in a row, while Olimpija Ljubljana got back in the win column with an 8-0 victory over the Pioneers Vorarlberg.

Bolzano erases two-goal deficit, wins in shootout
FTC-Telekom led 2-0 in Bolzano after 14 minutes. The hosts answered with three goals in 4:10 and took a 3-2 lead into the first intermission. Jesper Lindgren, who had already scored FTC's second goal, tied it early in the second period. Neither team scored again, not even in overtime, and Cole Schneider converted the decisive attempt in the shootout. Bolzano remains unbeaten in regulation after seven games.

Pustertal storms back in the final minute
HC Falkensteiner Pustertal and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 played 52 scoreless minutes. Then Michael Cyr struck twice within 39 seconds for the visitors. The hosts responded in the final minute and tied the game with two goals 35 seconds apart, the equalizer coming with 17 seconds left on the clock. Alan Lobis scored the winner in overtime. It was Pustertal's fourth straight win.

Four Linz goals in the second period
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz decided their matchup with EC-KAC in the middle frame. After a 1-1 first period, the hosts scored twice within 28 seconds after the break and added two power-play goals. Emilio Romig scored twice. It was KAC's second straight loss after the 4-0 defeat in Bolzano.

Capitals win in overtime
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV and the Vienna Capitals battled in a close game in Villach. Villach took the lead twice, and Senna Peeters answered both times. Jakob Lilja gave the Capitals their first lead in the third period before Maximilian Rebernig forced overtime with an extra attacker and 17 seconds left in regulation. Nicholas Bailen then won it on the power play with 13 seconds remaining in overtime.

Salzburg turns the tables on Milano
EC Red Bull Salzburg trailed Milano Hockey Club twice, most recently 2-1 after 25 minutes. Two second-period goals turned the game around, and two more in the third sealed the 5-2 final. It was Salzburg's first back-to-back win of the season.

Olimpija cruises at home
Olimpija Ljubljana gave the Pioneers Vorarlberg no chance and led 3-0 after just 13 minutes. Nicolai Meyer and Jan Urbas scored twice each, while Zan Us stopped all 19 shots for the shutout.
