Before his time at the HCB Südtirol Alperia, the forward was mainly active in his home country USA. For the season 2018/19 he went to Europe and signed with the EC Red Bull Salzburg. In the following season, the right-shooter played for Mora IK in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan before returning to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League and signing with the „Foxes“ from South Tyrol.

There, the native of Novi (Michigan) finished the regular season as the top scorer and was only overtaken by Brett Findlay in the postseason. There was a reason for that, as Gazley missed almost the entire semifinal series against the spusu Vienna Capitals due to an injury, and he also didn't play in the first game in the finals against the EC-KAC. Despite the long absence, Gazley scored three goals and made six assists in nine games in the postseason.
