Bolzano fixes first place of the Pick Round
HCB Südtirol Alperia won 4-0 at visiting EC Red Bull Salzburg and thus fixed the first place of the Pick Round, the home right to a possible final as well as the first right to pick for next week's live pick of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. EC Red Bull Salzburg was defeated for the third time in the intermediate round after three wins in a row. Despite the defeat, the Red Bulls are still in third place in the pick round. For Salzburg it was already the fifth defeat in the sixth game against Bolzano this season. For 30 minutes the Red Bulls were able to keep up against the South Tyroleans. Then, in the second part of the middle period, the Foxes scored three goals - two of them by Dustin Gazley. Stefano Giliati finally set the final point in the 4:0 victory of Bolzano. Leland Irving celebrated his sixth shutout of the season.

Fehérvár displaces Vienna from fourth place
After Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 had to accept a 3:11 defeat against the spusu Vienna Capitals a little more than a week ago, they now got revenge. The Hungarians won clearly 6:1 in Vienna on Sunday and regained the fourth place of the Pick Round. For Fehérvár it was the first win after four defeats for the first time this season. For the Viennese, the negative streak at home continues. For five games the Caps could not win at Erste Bank Arena. Especially the special teams of Fehérvár were unstoppable on Sunday. Until 4:0 in the 36th minute, three goals were scored in overtime and one in numerical inferiority. Janos Hari was responsible for three of the four goals. The Hungarians finally prevailed 6:1 and can thus continue to look towards the right to vote next week.

Dornbirn pushes door to the playoffs wide open
The Dornbirn Bulldogs beat the Moser Medical Graz99ers 4:1 and opened the door to the post-season 2021. The Styrians, on the other hand, had to vacate their playoff spot for the time being after their fourth defeat in the seventh game of the Qualification Round. The gap to the currently third-placed EC VSV is three points. But also on the first place the Graz team is missing only five points three rounds before the end of the regular season phase 2. The Vorarlberg team started strong in Sunday's encounter and gained a 3:0 lead in the first two periods. Just under eight minutes before the end, the guests managed to score the first goal, but it was not enough for the comeback. Dornbirn eventually prevailed 4:1 and remains at the top of the Qualification Round.

VSV moves up to playoff places
EC Grand Immo VSV celebrated a narrow 4:3 victory over HC TIWAG Innsbruck and climbed to a playoff spot for the first time with the fifth win in the seventh game of the Qualification Round. The Tyroleans, on the other hand, have only theoretical chances of making the playoffs after their fifth loss in the Intermediate Round. The Eagles earned a 2-0 advantage in the first period on Sunday. The VSV promptly had the right answer to Sam Herr's goals. Max Gerlach scored Innsbruck's third connecting goal three minutes before the end. The Sharks still pressed for the equalizer, but could not save themselves into overtime. Three rounds before the end of the intermediate round, Villach now have a cushion of three points on the chaser Graz.

Bratislava celebrated comeback win against Black Wings 1992
The iClinic Bratislava Capitals celebrated their fourth win in the Qualification Round and stay on the heels of leader Dornbirn. The Black Wings 1992 missed the chance to be in the middle of the playoff fight with a win. The gap between Linz and third place is five points with three rounds to go. However, the Black Wings 1992 had the much better start on Sunday. After just under six minutes, the Upper Austrians already led 2-0, but Mitch Hults initiated the turnaround in the 17th minute. Still in the second period, the Capitals were able to take the lead. The Linzers did not manage to score again and finally had to admit defeat with 2:4.
