After his youth years with the Rittner Buam SkyAlps, Peter Spornberger moved to Germany at the age of 15, joining the Juniors of Landshut and the Cologne Young Sharks. In 2019, he received his first contract in DEL2 and played two seasons in the jersey of Freiburg, where he scored 4 goals and 32 assists in 103 games and finished with a plus-minus rating of +42. In 2021, he moved to DEL club Schwenninger Wild Wings, for whom he played 113 games (3G, 16A) in the last three years. Spornberger also regularly wore the jersey of the Italian national team, first in the youth teams and from 2018 in the senior team with 87 appearances, two Top Division World Championships and two Division I Group A World Championships.

"My goal was to play in a team that wasn't just aiming for a play-off spot, but was doing everything it could to win the championship. Bolzano is exactly the right place for this: we have the best fans in the league here and I know that the support will never be lacking. I can't wait to experience what I hope will be a successful season. It will be special for me to be back close to home after such a long time."

Olimpija brings Gregorc back to Slovenia
Olimpija Ljubljana has announced the signing of Blaž Gregorc. The defenceman left his Slovenian homeland in 2007 when he moved to Sweden to join the youth team of Södertälje. He gained a lot of experience over the years and played for several well-known European clubs. The 34-year-old is also very familiar with the win2day ICE Hockey League, having played 142 games for the EC-KAC, Steinbach Black Wings Linz and most recently the Moser Medical Graz99ers.

Blaž Gregorc: "I am very happy to be returning to Slovenia after seventeen years abroad. I was convinced of how to build a team and a healthy environment for the whole organisation. There are a lot of good players here and I believe we will be very competitive."

Coulter returns to the league
Tyler Coulter is one of HC Pustertal's new forwards. The centre gained his first European experience early on after his junior days in Canada. After a year in Sweden, he gained a foothold in the ECHL (104 points in 129 games) and found his way to HC TIWAG Innsbruck via Norway. Coulter impressed with 44 points (22 goals, 22 assists), great enthusiasm and a physical presence - the Sharks even sensationally qualified for the Champions Hockey League. In 2023/24, the 185 cm tall and 91 kg forward transferred to Poprad in Slovakia, where he scored an impressive 39 points. Now it's time to return to the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Tyler Coulter: "I only have two goals for this season, and they are very simple: make the playoffs and win the playoffs. All that matters is winning the last game of the year. I'm looking forward to a long season, the great arena and the passionate HCP fans, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. I love being on the ice and playing hockey!"
