Bolzano signs forward Connor Ford

The HCB Südtirol Alperia announced the signing of Connor Ford. The 25-year-old American center, who comes to Europe for the first time, played in the American Hockey League last season.

After finishing his juniors career, Ford played in the NCAA University Championship in the jersey of Bowling Green State University: in four seasons and 141 games, including one as an assistant and one as a captain, he scored 114 points (53 goals and 61 assist). In 2021, he transferred to the University of North Dakota, where he appeared 37 times, collected 28 points. He also made his first twelve appearances (one goal) in the American Hockey League in a jersey with the Henderson Silver Knights, a Vegas Golden Knights farm team. In the last season, he was re-signed to the AHL team, scoring another 8 goals and 10 assists in 72 games.

"It's been a long summer as a free agent," Ford explains, "I spent a long time looking around for my first experience in Europe: I was looking for a good opportunity and I found it in Bolzano. I believe that European hockey suits my characteristics: I describe myself as an all-round player and I will give everything to contribute to the team's success."
