Bolzano wins season opener

The HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a huge opening win, after beating HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ 6:1, while the spusu Vienna Capitals tops the table, as they remain unbeaten defeating Black Wings 1992 5:3. Nick Petersen scored all four goals in EC-KAC’s 4:1 road win at Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and the Dornbirn Bulldogs got their first season win.

Further, the EC Red Bull Salzburg signed Swedish goalie Jesper Eliasson as an injury replacement, after Lukas Herzog will miss the running season. The 20-year-old arrives from Färjestad BK.

Successful opener for Bolzano
After the first two games of the HCB Südtirol Alperia had to be postponed, past season’s dominator of the pick round entered the season on Friday, defeating HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie” clearly 6:1. A strong pp performance got the “foxes” on winning ways, as three out of the first four goals were scored 5on4. Catenacci and Bernard extended the lead early in the last and made the preliminary decision.



Vienna replaces Linz at the top of the table

Linz managed to tie the game three times, until Leduc and Loney cleared it for the hosts within 44 seconds about eight minutes to go.



All Petersen in KAC win

Nick Peteresen gave the EC-KAC its second season win, after the Canadian forward scored all four goals in the 4:1 road win at Hydro Fehérvár AV19. 16 seconds to go in the first he put the Austrians up. After Csanad Erdely tied it for the Hungarian side, which had to deal with three lines, Petersen scored a tip-in, a shorthander and a empty netter to give Klagenfurt the 12th win overall in Szekesfehervar.

Dornbirn gets first season win
With a 2:1 at the Moser Medical Graz99ers, the Dornbirn Bulldogs grabbed their first season win. Jannik Fröwis opened the scoring for the guests in the third minute. After Graz goalie Ben Bowns hat to be substituted due to an injury (10.), the 99ers managed to tie the game within the first, thanks to Travis Oleksuk. Around halfway through the game Simeon Schwinger secured the first three points for the Vorarlberg side with a blueliner.
