Both Orli and Bolzano played their second game in as many days as they met Saturday night off the back of a defeat each 24 hours earlier. Matt Tomassoni gave the visitors a great shot as he shot past Schwarz from a tight angle to put the Foxes one up after only 1:20. Schwarz would then deny the Italians with a fantastic glove save from point-blank range as the hosts came under early pressure. Patrick Novak levelled the scores with 8:17 gone with a wicked slap shot from the edge of the circle that deflected in off the post, and before the period was out Orli completed the turn-around - a puck across the crease eventually turned in by Erik Nemec with 1:10 to go on the period. Znojmo were by far the better team for much of the middle session, but only got the one goal to show for it. That came with 27:55 gone, Jan Lattner firing over Smith's shoulder from an angle to put Orli 3-1 ahead, and also end Smith's night as he was pulled. A late 5-on-3 change gave the Foxes their way back into the game after two penalties in quick succession had the hosts forced to defend. Michael Hamo got the visitors back to within one at 55:24 after a patient build up, before Austin Smith dramatically tied the game 26 seconds later as the puck trickled over the line. Into OT and Znojmo with the majority of the puck and chances couldn't convert. Just as last night, the hosts were undone with a breakaway - Chris DeSousa skating from his own zone to fire home with 1:02 left on the extra period to take the bonus point for Bolzano.
