Bozen signs defender William Wrenn

The HCB Südtirol Alperia continues beeing active with signings. After the comeback of Matt Tomassoni, they managed to add another puzzle piece for the defense. The 26 years old American William Wrenn gained good experience in the north American leagues and will celebrate his Europe premiere at Bozen.

Wrenn is a very talented player and was nominated for U17 and U18 American national team. In 2008/09 he won the U18 World Championship as a captain of his team. With the age of 18 he was drafted from the San Jose Sharks and started his career at the NCAA. In 2012 he went to into the ECHL to the Alaska Aces, where he collected 21 points in 51 games. He also made good some experience in the American AHL together with the Worcester Shars and the Texas Stars, both farm teams of the NHL teams. In the following season he won the Championship with Texas and also had some appearances in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads. In 2015/16 he came back to the Alaska Aces as a captain. This was one of his best seasons so far, he scored 41 points in 57 games. He also had some more appearances at the AHL with Utica Comets. After that his played in the farm team of the Toronto Maple Leags, where he scored 9 points in 41 games for the Toronto Marlies.
