In an even and exciting game, Bratislava took the lead in the 32nd minute through Emilia Leskovjanska. The Lower Austrians managed to equalise in the third period with a powerplay goal from Rylee Davison. However, Ema Tothova scored two minutes before the end to secure the away win. This puts the Slovakians in a very good starting position for the second leg on Sunday.

In Zeltweg, Aisulu Almaty celebrated a 3:0 win over EVB Eagles South Tyrol. Lauren Nicholson scored the only goal in the first period. Cassidy Maplethorpe (38th, 49th) added two more goals to give Almaty a clear victory, while goalkeeper Rachel Seeley celebrated a shutout. The second leg will take place on Saturday.
