Bratislava loses preseason opener | Bolzano extends two contracts

While the iClinic Bratislava Capitals lost their preseason opener against HKM Zvolen 2:4, the HCB Südtirol Alperia announced two more contract extension.

League’s newcomer iClinic Bratislava Capitals opened the preseason at HKM Zvolen and had to take a 4-2 defeat to the Slovakian Tipsport League participant. Bratislava took the lead after ten minutes, as captain Karol Sloboda scored. After the home team turned it around, Michal Salka netted the equalizer about halfway through the second. With two quick goals at the beginning of the last frame, Zvolen secured a 4:2 win in the end.

Miceli and Bardaro remain with Bolzano
Angelo Miceli will enter his fourth season with the HCB Südtirol Alperia. He came to Bolzano during the 17-18 championship season and, with eleven points in the post-season, played a major role in the second title win. The 26-year-old recorded 98 points in 149 games.

Anthony Bardaro, who is also a member of the Italian national team, is facing his second season with the “foxes”. The 27-year-old forward arrived at the Talferstadt after two seasons in the Alps Hockey League, where he scored 153 points in 99 games for Asiago. With 40 points in 51 games, Baradaro became Bolzano’s best scorer past campaign.
