Bratislava secures third place in the EWHL

HK PSRZ Bratislava secured third place in the European Women's Hockey League. After a 2:0 defeat in their first duel with EVB Eagles South Tyrol, the Slovakians won 3:0 after overtime on Saturday.

The Sabres St. Pölten and Aisulu Almaty drew 1:1 in the first leg of the European Women's Hockey League final on Friday. The decisive second leg between the Lower Austrian team and the Kazakh representative will take place on Sunday in Zeltweg.

In the duel for third place, the EVB Eagles South Tyrol won the first game against HK PSRZ Bratislava 2:0. In the second game - which was again played in Bratislava - the Slovakians got off to the better start this time and took the lead through Lucia Haluskova in the 15th minute. In the middle period, Romana Kosecka increased the lead on power play and the score remained 2:0 until the end of regulation time. The game went into over time, where Ema Tothova decided the game in the 65th minute.
