Bratislava signs cracks from overseas

The iClinic Bratislava Capitals signed defender Tyler Nanne (USA) and forward Marc-Olivier Roy (CAN). For both newcomers it is the first season in Europe.

The 25-year-old Tyler Nanne was drafted in the 5th round by the New York Rangers in 2014. However, he gained his experience mainly in the NCAA for Ohio State University and the University of Minnesota. He came to the iClinic Bratislava Capitals via the South Carolina Stingrays team in the ECHL. For Nanne, the iClinic Bratislava Capitals will be his first stop outside the United States.

The 26-year-old Olivier Roy was drafted in the 2nd round by the Edmonton Oilers in 2013. He has played over 100 games in the AHL for Bakersfield Condors, Utica Comets, San Jose Barracuda, Chicago Wolves and Laval Rocket. Last season, in 2020/2021, he was the ECHL champion with the Fort Wayne Komets. In the playoff final, Marc-Olivier Roy faced Tyler Nanne in the South Carolina team.
