The two table neighbors, Rittner Buam SkyAlps and EC Bregenzerwald, battled it out in a hard-fought Tuesday night clash. The South Tyroleans got off to the better start, taking the lead through Robert Öhler in the 7th minute. The visitors from Vorarlberg stayed composed and capitalized on their first power play of the night, with ECB’s top scorer Roberts Lipsbergs finding the equalizer before the first intermission. In the second period, Bregenzerwald impressed with efficiency. Despite a number of good scoring chances for Ritten, Nico Kramer struck in a 5-on-3 power play to put the visitors ahead. From there, ECB goaltender Lorenz Widhalm stood tall, turning aside every remaining attempt to secure all three points for Bregenzerwald.

With Ritten’s loss, KHL Sisak and EK Die Zeller Eisbären are officially locked into the 2026 playoffs. Both teams – along with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who clinched their playoff spot last week – can no longer be pushed out of the Top 5.
