Bregenzerwald narrowly defeated by league leader Jesenice

In the only game on Friday, league leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jessnice won with 1:0 against the EC Bregenzerwald. For the Slovenians, for whom Erik Svetina scored, it was the ninth win in the tenth game of the season. Bregenzerwald is in twelfth place in the standings.

The hosts from Jesenice were the leading team for long stretches of the game. Until the 52nd minute of the game, however, Bregenzerwald goalkeeper Felix Beck conceded no goal. In the end, the 19-years-old was able to save 38 shots on his goal (97.4%). Urban Avsenik on the side of Jesenice celebrated a shutout, saving all 18 shots on his goal.

The decisive scene was in the 52nd minute of the game. The second best scorer in the league, Erik Svetina, scored after an assist from Saso Rajsar to make it 1:0. It was already the seventh goal of the season for the Slovenian. While league leader Jesenice has no more game to play this weekend, Bregenzerwald will play at the EC-KAC Future Team tomorrow, Saturday.
