Right in their first game in the ice rink in Brixen, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan (#11) celebrated a victory. The clear 4:1 home victory over the Red Bull Hockey Juniors (#5) was Sterzing's fifth win within the last six games. This finally closed the gap to the top-10 of the Alps Hockey League.

The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan celebrated a clear 4:1 victory over the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in their competitive debut in Brixen - the home arena in Vipiteno, which was completely destroyed by a hall collapse, is not available. For the sixth time in a row, the "Broncos" picked up points, closing the gap to tenth-placed Ritten and taking a big step towards the pre-playoffs in the Alps Hockey League. The guests from Salzburg suffered their first defeat after last four wins in a row, but remain fifth. After Salzburg failed to capitalize on powerplay opportunities, Trevor Gooch (1G|2A) made it 3:0 on powerplay and veteran Markus Gander added a shorthanded goal to make it 4:0. Salzburg managed to score a consolation goal through Josef Eham at the beginning of the final period, but the South Tyrolean team led by goalkeeper Jakob Rabanser (95.8%) did not allow any more.
