HC Pustertal Wolves have extended their winning-streak in the Alps Hockey League to ten and their lead in the ranking as well, because their first persecutor and Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 has been defeated by HK SZ Olimpija in their third meeting as well. Plus: EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, Red Bull Hockey Juniors, VEU Feldkirch, EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau and S.G. Cortina Hafro have earned wins on Saturday.

Sat, 20.10.2018: HK SZ Olimpija vs. Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 6:2 (1:1,3:0,2:1)
HK SZ Olimpija and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 tried to extend their winning-streak in Ljubljana on Saturday. The two teams have faced each other  on eye-level in period 1 and each club has scored one goal as well. The Slovenes decided the match in period 2: The Dragons earned a 4:1-lead with three goals netted by Cepon (27./pp), Jezovsek (28.) and Zajc (32./pp) within just 276 seconds. The third period started perfect for the Champion from Asiago, Bardaro potted the 2:4 in a Power Play after few seconds (41.). But, the Slovenes stayed unimpressed and decided the match with another two quick goals scored by Jezovsek (46.) and Music (47.). Olimpija has again convinced at home and has earned their seventh consecutive win as well. Besides, Asiago is still without a win against Ljubjana.

Sat, 20.10.2018: Red Bull Hockey Juniors vs. EC Bregenzerwald 4:2 (2:2,2:0,0:0)
The game started amazing, each team scored twice within the first eight minutes: EC Bregenzerwald took the lead in Salzburg twice and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors responded quickly twice. The Mozart Citizens had more from the game then, but the score stayed unchanged until the first break. The second part of the game started in the same way as period 1 did: Nico Feldner potted the 3:2-lead for the Mozart Citizens in a Power Play after just 91 seconds and Oliver Nordberg added the 4:2 only 223 seconds later. Salzburg was the chief on the ice now (27:10-shots in period 2+3), but the hosts could not extend their lead until the end.

Sat, 20.10.2018: EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel vs. HC Fassa Falcons 4:3 (1:1,2:0,1:2)
Martin Gran returned with HC Fassa Falcons for the first time to Kitzbühel on Saturday. The Tyroleans had more from the game in period 1. Mader has finally scored the lead for the Eagles in minute 15. But, the Italians stayed unimpressed and responded just 37 seconds later. Kitzbühel decided the game early in period 2: Mader took advantage from a Penalty Shot after a foul from Iori (23.) and Havlik potted the 3:1 just 22 seconds later. Each team has tried his luck in the offense then, but the goalies allowed no other goal in period 2. In minute 49, Lenes scored the 4:1 for the Austrians. The guests did not give up and came back with goals from Odorizzi (51.) and Iori (57.). But, Kitzbühel defended their 1-goal-lead until end and earned a 4:3-home-win.

Sat, 20.10.2018: EK Die Zeller Eisbären vs. EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau 2:5 (0:2,1:1,1:2)
EK Die Zeller Eisbären and EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau searched their luck in the offense in period 1 (13:12-shots). Each team played Power Play twice as well. While the Polar Bears could not take advantage from their Power Plays, Vallerand (4., 15.) scored in each Power Play for the Lions – 2:0. Each team tried to defend well after the re-start. Nevertheless, Oberscheider scored the 3:0 for the Lions in minute 32. Dinhopel responded with the first goal for EKZ just moments later – 1:3.   The home-team was back in the game after LeBlanc has netted the 2:3 in minute 48. But, the Polar Bears took some penalties in the following minutes and this was punished by the Vorarlberger, who decided the match with two more (Power Play) goals potted by Vallerand (49./pp) and Alagic (58./pp).

Sat, 20.10.2018: VEU Feldkirch vs. HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 6:2 (0:1,3:0,3:1)
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it has searched their luck in the offense in period 1 (12:5-shots) and has been rewarded with a 1:0-lead scored by Sullmann Pilser. Headcoach Nik Zupancic has found the right words for his team during the break, because the Austrians turned the game within just 83 seconds in period 2: Draschkowitz (26.) and Fekete (28./pp) gave the Vorarlberger a 2:1-lead. And Winzigs Power Play goal has even meaned the 3:1 for the VEU still in period 2 (35./pp). The guests from Gherdeina pushed hard in period 3 (18:10-shots), but goalie Alex Caffi (43 saves) allowed just one more goal from the Furies, while his team-mates netted three more goals for a clear 6:2-home-win.

Sat, 20.10.2018: HC Pustertal Wolves – Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 2:1 (1:0,0:1,1:0)
The HC Pustertal earned the 10th consecutive victory. Bruneck couldn’t dispone all the foreigners of movement: the brothers Virtala and Cody Corbett. Alessio Niccolai, Jan Sotlar and Dino Andreotti were absent for Wipptal. The derby started very hard and fun for the joy of 1800 spectators of Bruneck. First big chance for Kruselburger and then the home team answered with the young line of the hosts with Laner-Berger-L.De Lorenzo Meo. Then the Wolves resisted four minutes in shorthanded but when they played in double superiority earned the first advantage. Raphael Andergassen realized the first goal of the match and the only one of the first half. The Wipptal Broncos equalized after just 55 seconds from the start of the second half at the end of a nice combination that ended with the goal of Just. Sterzing searched for the advantage but Colin Furlong saved especially on an opponent powerplay. The balance in the result remained also in the third time for a high-level derby. But the Wolves achieved the goal of the victory after 56 'in powerplay with the experienced man as Max Oberrauch who signed the sentence of this game. Pustertal won by 2: 1 as they confirmed the very first team of this AHL.

Sat, 20.10.2018: Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro vs. EC-KAC II 6:2 (1:1,3:1,2:0)
S.G. Cortina returned to victory after 6 games thanks to the success against EC-KAC II for 6: 2. The Cortina found important players like Nick Bruneteau, Federico Lacedelli and Andrea Moser. Klagenfurt turned out to be a very determined opponent for at least 30 minutes. Marek Tvordon realized after a powerplay in favor with a wrist shot but the hosts equalized in superiority with Luca Barnabò thanks to a shot in the scrum. At the beginning of the second half it was still the Cortina powerplay that made the difference with Devin Di Diomete. The Carinthians, however, didn’t gave up and they tied in powerplay with Simon Hammerle. Then in the remaining part of the second period the Cortina properly exploited the penalties of the opponents and arrived two goals in deflection and in powerplay with the double of Vanttinen. In the third time the Cortina closed the match with the goal of Riccardo Lacedelli (1 goal and 4 assist) and still Di Diomete.
