Bulldogs, Sharks and 99ers were on Fire

Dornbirn Bulldogs, Moser Medical Graz99ers and HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ celebrated wins in their friendly games on Friday and also scored lots of goals, while Champion UPC Vienna Capitals was defeated by the Stavanger Oilers after Shoot-out.

2:0-lead was not enough for the Caps
Champion UPC Vienna Capitals finished his Pre-Season camp on Friday in Maribor with a friendly game against the Stavanger Oilers. The Austrians were the chief on the ice in the first 20 minutes and also took a 2:0-lead thanks two Power Play goals from Riley Holzapfel (3.) and MacGregor Sharp (11.). In period 2 there were many penalties. The team from Norway finally got more dangerous and also scored their first goal. In period 3 Vienna tried to get the upper had of the game again. Rafael Rotter came close to score the 3:1, but he was stopped by the opponents goalie after a break-away. Just moments later the Oilers made it 2:2. It followed an open game with chances on both side, but no more goals were scored. In the Shoot out the Oilers had the better end.
 
Bulldogs won high scoring game in Kaufbeuren after Shoot Out
During this week the Dornbirn Bulldogs worked in the practice on their defense, but at ESV Kaufbeuren the Austrians were back quickly 0:2. But the Bulldogs did not give up and equalized with two Power Play goals from Jerome Leduc (19./pp1) and Matt Fraser (21./pp1). In the last 20 minutes both teams were really on fire, totally six goals were scored. For the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-club Sean McMonagle (49./pp2), Dominic Haberl (50.) and Henrik Neubauer (55.) were successful. After 60 minutes the score was tied at 5:5. In the Shoot Out Sean McMonagle fixed the win for the Dornbirn Bulldogs.
 
"Haiefest" a success
Minute by minute HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ got stronger and stronger in their first test vs. HC La Chaux-de-Fonds on Friday. Finally in minute9 Jesse Mychan scored the 1:0 after a break. Also after the re-start the Sharks had the better chances first, but John Lammers (post) and Andrew Yogan (2x) had no luck. Then also the Swiss team got their opportunities, but goalie Patrik Nechvatal was not to beat. After 32 minutes Rene Swette took over in the net and he quickly received two goals. The Tyroleans had a quck answer, Ondrej Sedivy made it 2:2. The last period belong to Innsbruck, that won thanks goals from Tyler Spurgeon, Mychan and Clemens Paulweber in the end clearly with 5:2.
 
99ers beat French Champion in period 2
The Moser Medical Graz99ers beat French Champion Rapaces de Gap on Friday in Maribor with 5:3. The French team equalized the 99ers lead twice, but then Daniel Woger and Brock Nixon scored twice giving their team an important 4:2-lead after 40 minutes. Finally the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-club won 5:3.
