Shawn O'Donnell played the majority of his career in North America. During the 2019/20 season, the right-shooter went to Europe and signed with the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2. In the past season, the 33-year-old was active in Denmark, first with the Odense Bulldogs, later with Esbjerg Energy. At the beginning of this season, he moved to SønderjyskE before now joining the Dornbirn Bulldogs.

Whether the Canadian will already be in the line-up for the Bulldogs home game on December 26th against the HCB Südtirol Alperia is open. On Wednesday, O'Donnell completed his first training session in Vorarlberg, under the management of Head Coach Kai Suikkanen.
