The HCB Südtirol Alperia signed Canadian defender Dennis Robertson for the upcoming Erste Bank EIshockey Liga season. For the 28-year old Crack from British Columbia it is the first station in Europa, after winning the American Hockey League with the Charlotte Checkers. In addition, Dominic Hackl stays at his home club as the 22-year-old defender signed a contract extension with spusu Vienna Capitals.

Robertson is a physical player who scraped past a NHL engagement. The career of Robertson started in Canadian youth teams before going for goals for the Brown University in the NCAA. After that Robertson got drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixths round. But the Canadian didn’t manage to find his way in the NHL and continued playing in NCAA. From 2014 Robertson played in American Hockey League for the Charlotte Checkers. Only in 15/16 he changed Jerseys and played one season for Rockford IceHogs. In his Last AHL season Robertson won the Calder Cup. In total he scored 66 points in 290 AHL-games.
 
Dominic Hackl stays at his home club 
Dominik Hackl signed a contract extension with spusu Vienna Capitals. The 22-year-old defender, who has alreaady played 128 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga games, heads into his sixth season with his home club. Last campaign his progess was stopped by an injury with Hackl missing four months. He came back in the semifinal series against EC Red Bull Salzburg. "I want to continue where I left off before my injury. I'll give my best to get ice time and help the team to be successful", says Hackl.
