spusu Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg searched their luck in the offense from the opening face-off (11:14-shots on net in period 1) in semifinal game #5 in Vienna on Sunday. The break-through has finally come in minute 20: After a turnover, Benjamin Nissner netted the 1:0 for the Caps from a rebound. The teams have faced each other on eye-level after the re-start. At halftime, the Capitals decimated themselves with three straight penalties. The Red Bulls were applying pressure on their opponent, but Caps goalie JP Lamoureux and Co. defended their lead until the second break. Taylor Vause and Andreas Nödl failed to decided the game early in period 3. This was punished by Salzburg. Brant Harris netted the 1:1 after a fast attack in minute 46. In Overtime, Sondre Olden netted the Game Winner for Vienna with a tip-in in minute 72.
