Caps and Innsbruck announce contract extensions

With all teams building their roster for the 2017-18 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga season, UPC Vienna Capitals and HC TWK Innsbruck announced contract extensions lately. While the Tirolese signed three native players again, the champions agreed on nine extensions.

The imports Kelsey Tessier, Taylor Vause, Ryan McKiernan and Jean-Philippe Lamoureux will play another season with the Capitals. In addition, the champions took option for contract extension with alternate captain Rafael Rotter and Austrian young guns Julian Großlercher, Dominic Hackl, Felix Maxa and Benjamin Nissner. "We want to keep the heart of our championship-winning team and with these signings we are on a good way," reports Caps manager Franz Kalla.
 
After announcing some new arrivals, HC TWK Innsbruck now extended contracts of three homegrown players. Florian Pedevilla, Benedikt Schennach and Dominique Saringer will hit the ice for the sharks next season again. "I love to play hockey and it's great to pursue my passion for one more year," says Schennach.
