Caps lure Jérémy Grégoire to Europe

The spusu Vienna Capitals sign forward Jérémy Grégoire for the upcoming season of the win2day ICE Hockey League. The 26-year-old Canadian, who was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Draft, played for the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League last season.

Grégoire spent most of his stay in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Baie-Comeau Drakkar. For his team, the forward was an absolute key player. In 2013 and 2014, Grégoire led the Quebec team to the QMJHL final on both occasions. But the Canadian was also convincing off the ice. The forward received several awards for outstanding academic performance during his junior career.

Following his junior career, Grégoire moved to the St. John's IceCaps, AHL affiliate team of the Montreal Canadiens, in the 2015/16 season before a league-ending move to the Milwaukee Admirals followed in 2018. The intelligent two-way player also still forwarded for the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League and for the Texas Stars last season. After a total of 384 AHL games, he has 112 scorer points (55 goals and 57 assists). Now Grégoire ventures to Europe for the first time.
