Champion resigns Matthew Neal

Reigning champion EC-KAC renewed the contract with Matthew Neal, who heads into his fourth season with the Carinthians. The Canadian forward signed a one-year deal. With Neal the EC-KAC obligated its sixth foreign player for the upcoming season.

After Matthew Neal played at Klagenfurt from 2016 to 2018, he returned past November. In between Neal showed up 26 times for EC Kassel Huskies in DEL2. In 38 games past season the 27-year-old forward posted 33 points (15 G | 18 A). Overall the Canadian collected 93 points in 139 games for the EC-KAC. With six points he was Klagenfurt’s best scorer as the Austrians showed up last time in Champions Hockey League back in 2017.
