Sun, 14.1.2024, 17:30: Moser Medical Graz99ers - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: M. NIKOLIC, VOICAN, Hribar, Wimmler | >> live.ice.hockey <<

The playoffs receded into the distance for Graz, who are 16 points off tenth place. The Styrians lost at home to Innsbruck on Friday and have won just two of their last nine games - hwever, the bottom team managed a victory against their upcoming opponents in Linz. Although the Black Wings are in fourth place in the table, their lead over seventh place has been shrinking of late. The Upper Austrians have only won one of their last seven games, yesterday they were beaten at home by Asiago in overtime. Phil Lukas' team missed out on a direct play-off spot last season due to a poor points haul at the end of the regular season (losing 13 of 18 games). Graz is the weakest home team in the league with just 13 points from 18 games.

Trophy on tour
The "Karl Nedwed Trophy" makes a stop in Graz and can be admired at the game in the Merkur ice arena.

Sun, 14.1.2024, 17:30: EC Red Bull Salzburg - EC-KAC
Referees: FICHTNER, PIRAGIC, Nothegger, Zgonc | >> LIVE on PULS 24 <<

The final quarter of the win2day ICE Hockey League regular season kicks off with a top-class clash live on PULS 24 on Sunday: leaders EC-KAC take on the reigning champions in Salzburg. For the Red Bulls, a 14-game winning streak against Fehérvár came to an end on Friday. With an 8-5 home win over Vorarlberg, the Klagenfurt team extended their lead in the table to four points. The "Red Jackets" have won the last six games in a row or even further back, losing only twice (in overtime) in the last 13 games - including against the Red Bulls, who took two points from Klagenfurt just before Christmas. The reigning champions are therefore 2:1 in favour in the head-to-head comparison. The Carinthians have had little reason to celebrate at the Eisarena Volksgarten of late: Klagenfurt have lost each of their last five away games in Salzburg, conceding four or five goals in the process. Since the league was newly founded in 2000, the EC-KAC has not faced any other club more often than Salzburg: Not least nine play-off series against each other - the "Red Bulls" have not faced any other team in the knockout phase of the championship more often in their club history - pushed the number of previous confrontations to 165. 90 of these encounters went to Salzburg, while Klagenfurt won 75 of them.

Sun, 14.1.2024, 18:00: HK SZ Olimpija - HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: SMETANA, TRILAR, Bärnthaler, Gatol-Schafranek | >> live.ice.hockey <<

After four wins in a row, Olimpija recently lost twice again. The defeat against Villach was particularly painful, as Ljubljana had a 2-0 lead after the middle period and then lost 3-2. Bolzano, on the other hand, returned to winning ways on Tuesday, the runners-up won at Fehérvár. Important points are at stake for both teams: the Slovenians are fighting for a place in the pre-playoffs, while the team from Talferstadt is fighting for the top six. Bolzano has won two of the three duels so far this season, with both teams even recording a shutout each. HCB coach Glen Hanlon has the entire squad at his disposal, with Sam Harvey potentially making his debut in goal.
