2025/26 CHL Format
The CHL Regular Season kicks off on 28 August. Each of the 24 participating teams will play six different opponents. All teams are ranked on a single league table from 1 to 24, with every point counting right up to the final game – whether it’s for playoff qualification or a better seeding in the knockout stage. The top 16 teams advance to the Playoffs, where the overall standings determine the matchups (1st vs. 16th, 2nd vs. 15th, etc.).

With 16 teams in the Playoffs, four rounds are needed to crown the next European champion. The first three rounds will be played as home-and-away series, with the aggregate score deciding who advances.
