Chris Collins moved from North America to Europe for the first time in 2018 and signed on with the EC GRAND Immo VSV. In his first two seasons with Villach, the center played 106 games, scoring 71 points.

Chris Collins is happy to continue playing in Villach: "I have come to love this city in the past two years, the people here are so friendly and absolutely passionate about hockey. We also have a top coach in Rob Daum, and the organization works perfectly as well - I'm already looking forward to the new season."

VSV sports director Gerald Rauchenwald on the contract extension: " Chris played a sensational last season and also increased his yield with 41 points, including 18 goals, compared to his first European season. He has developed strongly and has also become much more capable of scoring goals. We are very happy that he continues to be a part of our team."

Currently, the 29-years-old is in his home country Canada. He is expected to return to Villach at the end of July.
