Here are the 4 local groups on a regional basis for the 17 Alps Hockey League teams:
Group West: EC Bregenzerwald; EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau; FBI VEU Feldkirch; EK Zeller Eisbӓren; EC ,,Die Adler’’ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel;
Group East: HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice; HK SZ Olimpija; Red Bull Hockey Juniors; EC-KAC II;
Group South A: Rittner Buam, HC Pustertal Wölfe; SG Cortina Hafro; HC Fassa Falcons;
Group South B: Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935; HC Neumarkt Riwega; HC Gherdeina valgardena.it; WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan

Please note that all the matches played in each group are an integral part of the Alps Hockey League regular season. The points earned by the teams during this period are added to the regular season standings. The regular season of Alps Hockey League will end on 3 March 2018.

The other relevant highlight is the double value for Group South A and Group South B. The points collected in the period between 26 December and 6 January by the Italian teams, within Group South A and South B, will be valid both for the general stadings of the AHL regular season but also to determine the first two classified teams both of Group South A and South B Group. Just the first two teams of each group (Group South A and South B) will qualify for the Final Four Scudetto of the I.H.L. (Italian Hockey League) Elite. The Final Four of IHL ELITE will be played on the 10th and 11th February 2018. For the Italian teams there will be a very hot period with the possibility of winning a seat for the next Final Four Scudetto in February, but at the same time the points are worth for the playoff race in Alps Hockey League, too. In other words, a Christmas period where every point - earned by the Italian teams - will be worth a lot.

The Christmas time will be of maximum enjoyment with a schedule that offers a total of 48 matches for the entire AHL from December 26th to January 6th!
