Five games, five wins, 29 goals and 15 different goal scorers: EC-KAC are the only team in the win2day ICE Hockey League yet to drop a point. Defenseman Clemens Unterweger credits the depth of the roster: "We have a lot of energy across four lines, everyone is contributing." On Wednesday, Klagenfurt host second-placed Milano.

From trailing to 6-2
In Sunday's 6-2 win over the Moser Medical Graz99ers, KAC were down after just 34 seconds. "After the early deficit, we found our footing through the power play," said Unterweger. He set up both power-play goals by Nick Petersen (9th) and Mattias Göransson (14th) for a 2-1 lead. Four goals in the middle frame put the game away. "In the second period we were really focused and ruthless with our chances. In the third we closed it out solidly."

Special teams as a weapon
KAC have already scored eight power-play goals, a mark matched only by the Vienna Capitals. On the penalty kill, Klagenfurt have killed off 20 of 22 penalties. "Right now our special teams are simply helping us play very efficiently," said Unterweger. On Wednesday, the league's top offense meets Milano, who have allowed just ten goals in five games.
